Student Success and Transfer Coordinator [ID: 1002]
Position Summary:

Responsible for developing and maintaining articulation programs, e.g. FUSE and Ignite for efficient transfer from St. Petersburg College to baccalaureate programs at selected universities. This position will help foster relationships between SPC staff and staff at universities to develop specific transfer programs. The position will also work with SPC staff to provide student success strategies to keep students engaged and on their path towards university transfer.

Typical Essential Duties

  • Recruit and retain students in programs designed for baccalaureate transfer in selected majors at selected universities;
  • Work with internal and external staff to create student success strategies designed to keep students engaged and graduate on time to successfully transfer to university program of choice; Strategies may include organizing campus visits and tours to participating universities and exposing students to Student Life experiences at the participating universities;
  • Review and assess existing student success strategies, projects and initiatives;
  • Work with Marketing and Strategic Communications to promote the articulation programs to existing and future SPC students;
  • Assists with the formal creation of articulation agreements and MOU’s with participating universities.
Compensation: $55,952.53 - $69,940.66

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.  Master’s preferred.

Experience:

Two (2) years of experience working with advising, outreach, recruitment, or admissions in higher education.  Three (3) years of experience preferred.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Develops and proposes program plans for assigned area of responsibility, which includes: writing academic/student goals, ensuring alignment with overall College goals; monitoring and evaluating program compliance with applicable goals and intended results.

Prepares, reviews, and submits a variety of reports, work papers, contracts, communications, schedules, and/or statements to and from internal departments, external agencies, and/or other applicable organizations.
