Online Student Activities & Services Coordinator [ID: 1003]
Position Summary:

The Online Student Activities & Services Coordinator reports directly to the Director, Online Student Services. This position will provide and implement strategies to engage our online students. The position will plan online events, e.g. online information sessions, webinars, and job fairs, college fairs for online programs, manage the career and academic community social networking platforms, solicit input from online students, and serve as a liaison between online students and the college to transform the online student experience.

The Online Student Activities and Services Coordinator is responsible for providing a high-quality student experience in creating and implementing strategies and programming to engage SPC students online.

Manages SPC’s student engagement platform, plan online events and activities, create student resources, video tutorials, and recommend and create processes and systems to improve the overall student experience.

Typical Essential Duties:

  • Serve as the administrator for SPC’s engagement platform. Create, manage, and maintain events and experiences in the system. Provide reports, training, and technical assistance.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate online student activities and services in collaboration with the Student Life and Leadership team.
  • Design, develop, and oversee programs and projects for online student activities and recommend new and/or improved programs or processes.
  • Plan, direct, and participate in recruitment/enrollment activities in collaboration with the Director of Recruitment Services and the Director of Student Affairs.
  • Provide workshops and training programs, create student video tutorials, and update/create process instructions.
  • Engage prospective and new SPC students using technology
  • Manage Online Student Life budget.
  • Coordinate with Online Learning & Services to utilize and evaluate new and existing student technologies.
  • Works closely with Marketing to promote events.
  • Design and create marketing materials for coordinated online events.
  • Process online student ID cards.

Incumbents plan, direct and coordinate student activities.  Responsibilities may include planning and implementing student activities and events; supervising student government association activities and events; orienting and monitoring student organizations; developing and maintaining procedural manuals for student organizations; monitoring student lounges; monitoring a budget; maintaining records and preparing operational reports.  

Compensation: $44,319.64 - $55,399.55

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field to assigned area.

Experience:

Three (3) years experience in a position involving student activities and/or student services in a campus setting. Experience engaging online students preferred.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
