This is the Chief Academic Officer of the institution. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for the overall management of College-wide academic functions providing strategic leadership for the development, implementation, assessment, and oversight of academic programs, services, and initiatives through a system designed to meet the needs of a diverse student body resulting in student learning and completion.
Essential Job Functions
This is the sixth of six levels in the Academic Management series. The classification is responsible for the overall management of the College-wide academic functions. Incumbent will set the strategic direction for academic programs at the College. Oversees the development of the academic programs, and ensures they align with the overall mission and goals of the College.
Requirements:
Education:
Earned Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience:
Ten (10) years’ experience in higher education, including five (5) years top-level administrative experience in academic affairs.
