Academic Services Coordinator [ID: 1019]
Position Summary:

Responsible for strategic coordination and plan execution of academic services development initiatives, curriculum services, and resource utilization.

 

Typical Essential Duties

  • Administers the review and assessment of existing academic services programs, projects and initiatives;
  • Coordinates the organization of and consistency in the implementation and maintenance of new and existing academic services and programs through collaboration and sharing of resources;
  • Plans, coordinates and monitors grant funded programs and/or activities;
  • Manages the grant budget;
  • Manages processes related to the development and enhancement of program, including the impact these changes have on existing programs;
  • Maintains clear communication and training with pre-collegiate faculty and staff regarding curriculum changes;
  • Works with faculty and staff, and other administrators to implement new initiatives and programs for student success.
  • Coordinates efforts with fiscal agents and sub-recipients of grants;
  • Maintains documentation of grant activities;
  • Prepares programmatic and financial reports.

 

This is the third of six levels in the Student Support Professional series.  The classification is responsible for coordinating student services and activities for a grant funded program. Incumbent will plan, coordinate and monitor grant funded programs and/or activities; developing project plans, timelines and budgets; ensuring consistency and compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations or guidelines; coordinating services with other departments and outside agencies; developing and evaluating programs and services; coordinating; and, developing marketing and promotion strategies.  Incumbents may have formal supervisory responsibility over support and/or technical staff.

Compensation: $55,952.53 - $69,940.66

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field to assigned area.  Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

Three (3) years experience in the K-12 education system. A teaching certificate is preferred.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
