Academic Projects Coordinator [ID: 162]
Position Summary:

Responsible for the coordination of baccalaureate program development activities, planning and budgeting.

Typical Essential Duties

  • Assist with annual program review of existing baccalaureate programs;
  • Coordinates and develops feasibility studies for new four year programs;
  • Provides structure and consistency for new and existing baccalaureate programs by promoting collaboration and sharing of resources;
  • Coordinates interactive curriculum development sessions;
  • Coordinates and/or assists with the hiring of baccalaureate program staffing;
  • Determines and manages student fees including distribution to individual programs and college wide functions;
  • Determines scholarship allocation and insures proper distribution in cooperation with the Foundation and Financial Aid Services Offices;
  • Works with baccalaureate deans to continue to research and establish student honorary groups, professional student organizations and activities;
  • Coordinates BOT rule development and the processing of articulation agreements at the baccalaureate level.

This is the third of six levels in the Student Support Professional series.  The classification is responsible for coordinating student services and activities in an assigned area.  Incumbent responsibilities generally include providing direct student assistance; ensuring consistency and compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations or guidelines; coordinating services with other departments and outside agencies; developing and evaluating programs and services; coordinating and facilitating special events; and, developing marketing and promotion strategies.  Incumbents may have formal supervisory responsibility over support and/or technical staff.

Compensation: $55,952.53 - $69,940.66

Requirements:

Education:

Master’s degree in a related field to assigned area. 

Experience:

One (1) year of experience in developing viability and/or feasibility studies applied to educational settings preferred. Experience with market research, project management and new program development also preferred. Experience in developing research or feasibility studies. Familiarity with the baccalaureate programs 3 county service area is preferred.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
