Instructional Designer/Facilitator [ID: 526]
Position Summary:

Responsible for content design and delivery of face-to-face, online and blended workshop/course offerings, to include development of audiovisual presentations, manuals, and instructional aids related to college sponsored professional development programs and initiatives.

Typical Essential Duties

  • Designs and delivers effective training opportunities which incorporate adult learning principles and a variety of learning styles and modalities;
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to discuss and develop training programs and materials;
  • Collects data to monitor training initiatives and provides follow-up;
  • Reviews current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility;
  • Flexibility to travel to different college sites as necessary.
Compensation: $46,226.34 - $64,716.88

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum development, instructional design or in a related field to assigned area. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

Four (4) years human resources experience in training, professional development, or teaching. 

* An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.

  • Training principles and practices in assigned area of responsibility;
  • Needs analysis methods;
  • Curriculum development principles and practices;

  • English language, grammar, and punctuation;
  • Applicable local, state and federal laws, rules, and regulations;
  • Computers and related software applications.

  • Ability to write clear and concise text;

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
