School Partnership Liaison [ID: 60]
Position Summary:

Establish and maintain a positive link between St. Petersburg College and the schools districts in the service area.

Typical Essential Duties

  • Serve as liaison with districts to explain College of Education placement needs;
  • Serve as liaison with specific district personnel to resolve placement issues;
  • Contact schools in service area districts to secure placements for College of Education candidates;
  • Coordinate all survey-level school-based hour placements for both upper-division and lower-division courses;
  • Represent the College of Education at school and district functions for the purpose of securing additional placements and adjunct faculty;
  • Builds positive relationships with K-12 school personnel;
  • Conduct on going surveys of Classroom Cooperating Teachers (CCT) regarding their satisfaction with SPC teacher candidates and the College of Education;
  • Implement creative marketing efforts - to strengthen relationships with each district;
  • Track placements across various districts to identify trends and the potential for future placements
    Assists with practicum placements, orientations, seminars, updating handbooks, updating evaluation forms, training field supervisors, resolving student issues, producing reports, and other projects.

The classification is responsible for coordinating the operations and activities of an assigned academic program or area and may supervise lower level administrative or program support staff.  This class is responsible for scheduling classes, trainings, or related events; coordinating the staff, and the use of resources for determined; coordinating internal and external relationships and partnerships; implementing project plans and providing project status updates and reviews; researching and analyzing information or other related data to improve the services or operations of the program; and may be responsible for monitoring a budget.

Compensation: $59,309.68 - $74,137.10

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field to assigned area.

Bachelor's degree.

Experience:

One (1) year experience in K-12 education.

* An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking,grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
