Systems Operations Coordinator [ID: 873]
Position Summary:

Incumbents in this class perform professional-level activities requiring specialized skills in an area such as instructional design, web design, interactive learning, and related instructional technology resources.  Incumbent responsibilities include supporting staff and faculty in instructional design, virtual campus and computing services through providing training and instruction; researching data and information; and making recommendations for upgrades in hardware, software, equipment, and current technology in the field.

Compensation: $55,952.53 - $69,940.66

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field to assigned area. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

Three (3) years experience implementing and utilizing instructional technology.

* An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.

  • Systems analysis and design principles;

  • Applicable operating systems;
  • Applicable computer programming languages;
  • Image/video manipulation techniques;
  • Training techniques;
  • Customer service principles;
  • Recordkeeping principles;

  • Must be able to work in a team environment with other technical staff.
  • Evaluating hardware and software applications;
  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting technological systems and/or software;
  • Identifying, researching, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues;
  • Converting files;
  • Communicating technical information to a non-technical audience;
  • Providing customer service;
  • Maintaining records;
  • Training end-users and faculty members;
  • Using a computer and related software applications;
  • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with subordinates, coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
