Program Manager, Florida Standards Grant [ID: 880]
Position Summary:

The Program Manager will report to the Educational Partnership Consultant/Lead Subject Matter Expert for the Florida Standards Grant.  Responsibilities of the incumbent include creating project timelines; monitoring compliance with grant guidelines; coordinating efforts with subject matter experts, vendors, and the Florida Department of Education; and preparing status reports.

Typical Essential Duties

  • Works with state department of education and other colleges/universities and agencies in developing programs;
  • Assists in projects, reports, etc., relating to specific education projects.
  • Coordinates effective training opportunities which incorporate adult learning principles and a variety of learning styles and modalities;
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and local school district personnel to discuss and develop training programs and materials;
  • Collects data to monitor training initiatives and provides follow-up;
  • Reviews current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility.

The classification is responsible for performing professional and/or program management duties in academic related specialties in a single department or function.  Incumbents will manage the daily activities, develop plans to approach projects, implement solutions, and perform professional level work in assigned area.  Incumbents are responsible for supervising employees or student workers, and developing and monitoring a budget.

Compensation: $62,868.26 - $78,585.33

Requirements:

Education:

Master's degree in Adult Education, Educational Administration, or in a related field to assigned area.

Experience:

Three (3) years in curriculum development and adult education or experience in a field related to the program in college or industry.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. 
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
