VP, Institutional Effectiveness, Strategic Planning, Research and Grants [ID: 900]
Position Summary:

Serve as the academic administrator for curriculum, institutional effectiveness, research and grant acquisitions, Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL), learning resource centers, and provide leadership for marketing, student recruitment, and strategic communications. Optimize the College’s curriculum development in conjunction with the Senior Vice President.  Provide leadership to ensure that curriculum, accreditation and competency-based assessment reflect institutional, state and regional standards.  Supervise institutional research to implement data driven decisions. Develop and promote a value-based system with strategic focus on student success (educational ecosystems).

Compensation: $131,091.67 - $163,864.58

Requirements:

Education:

Master’s degree in Higher Education, Educational Leadership or in a related field to assigned area. Doctorate preferred.

Experience:

Seven (7) years administrative experience in areas related to the position.  Experience in academic and/or student affairs, institutional research and educational program evaluation. Strong understanding of the Florida Community College System. A proven record of administrative effectiveness in a collegial environment; demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication and an ability to present  information clearly to diverse groups. Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to provide leadership and work effectively with staff, faculty and students. Experience in analysis of systems and procedures, and organizational and operational assessments.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish data tracking needs and implement collection methods to accurately assess and review student success initiatives, student support and related programs;
  • Lead business intelligence development to respond to institutional and academic needs related to strategic initiatives;
  • Responsible for the direction of the College’s Strategic Planning and Assessment process;
  • Lead and provide guidance for the measurement and assessment of academics;
  • Administer the accreditation process for SACS and specialized accreditation agencies;
  • Responsible for cross institutional compliance and leverage of resources for grant activities;
  • Responsible for the development and programs of the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL)
  • Develop and enhance community partnership with/in Eco Systems initiative;
  • Provide leadership and guidance for marketing, public information, media relations, student recruiting, graphic design/writing, web content management, advertising, printing, internal/external strategic communications, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM);
  • Responsible for institutional effectiveness outcomes assessment.

This is the fifth of five levels in the Administrative Management series.  The classification is responsible for the overall management of the College-wide administrative related functions.  Incumbent oversees the administrative related departments and functions which enable the College to function fiscally, operationally, or administratively.  Incumbent will develop the overall goals, policies, objectives; determine the strategy for the overall function; and focus on external relations to improve and increase the College's visibility and reputation.  Incumbent will determine the overall budget and allocate resources to specific departments, programs, and functions.
