AVP, Administrative Planning & Operations Support [ID: 902]
Position Summary:

The Associate Vice President for Administrative Services is responsible for providing oversight and guidance to designated business and administrative support units in a manner consistent with the Division’s mission to: create, sustain and serve a learning environment that encourages the college’s growth and supports its mission of student success and community enrichment.  Division units will be innovative and collaborative in the development of services strategies and the manner in which they are provided.

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Administrative Services, plans and implements projects in designated functional areas including:

  • Budget Planning, Management, & Analysis
  • Strategic Project Planning and Execution
  • Business Services and Financial Reporting
  • Information Technology Systems and Support
  • Human Resources Development
  • Purchasing & Auxiliary Services
  • Security
  • Facilities Planning & Institutional Support

 Typical Essential Duties

  • Provides leadership and guidance for budget planning, compliance and project planning and execution services
  • Provides leadership and strategic direction for the College Employee Success initiative including the administration of the College Leadership SPC and Delta Academy programs
  • Conducts studies of process efficiency to improve college operations and cost effective resource utilization of administrative support services in assigned areas
  • Ensures that accreditation standards are maintained and that the annual administrative assessment plan is administered
  • Develops strategic and operational objectives, in collaboration with other applicable staff, to ensure a focused approach for the future
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the College’s Technology Support Group and technology refresh program
  • Develops informative, understandable presentations of administrative and business services activities and services to the Board of Trustees
  • Provides advice and counsel to the SVP on policy issues, employee and labor relations matters and related litigation

This classification is responsible for providing complex and senior level direction to the activities of an assigned administrative related department or program.  Incumbents work in an administrative related department or function which enables the College to function fiscally, operationally, or administratively.  Incumbents will develop strategies to accomplish College-wide goals, implement policies and procedures, and develop and monitor an assigned budget.  Incumbents perform management level work for their assigned departments or functions, only performing analysis or professional level work if necessary.

Compensation: $107,009.85 - $133,762.31

Requirements:

Education:

Graduation from an accredited institution with an earned Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.  Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

Seven (7) years of professional business and/or education administrative and management experience in a related field.
