Marketing (Project) Manager [ID: 907]
Position Summary:

Serve as the interface between the Marketing and Strategic Communications department, external vendors and the college-wide faculty and staff to facilitate strategic execution and assessment of marketing and communications projects for the Marketing and Strategic Communications department. Works to help prioritize timelines and projects that will positively impact enrollment and support the college’s strategic marketing and communications plan. Manages project execution as a liaison to the Marketing and Strategic Communication Associate Directors who each lead a strategic project. Provides guidance in developing/tracking project timelines, developing/reporting key metrics and coordinating with other areas within the college as well as with external vendors and key stakeholders on project milestones. Develop a scorecard and dashboard for project support and update timelines to SharePoint site. Provides project execution support for the strategic projects set forth by the Executive Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications. Responsible for evaluating project timeline progress, as well as success tracking to key metrics, determining when a project may be at risk, and development of “just in time” corrective measures to facilitate project success.

This is the third of four levels in the Marketing/Communications series. Incumbents are responsible for managing a marketing or communications related function or service for the College by managing the daily activities, prioritizing assignments, determining marketing and communication plans, developing plans to approach marketing projects, implementing the project solutions, and performing related professional level marketing or communications work in assigned area.  Incumbents may be responsible for supervising employees or student workers, and developing and monitoring a budget.

Compensation: $52,785.40 - $65,981.75

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or in a related field to assigned area, such as project management.

Experience:

Eight (8) years full-time professional work experience in creative, interactive and communications project management. Experience with SharePoint and BaseCamp preferred.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and implement the strategic projects that positively impact enrollment and support the college’s marketing and communications plan. Responsibilities may include analyzing incoming job requests and assessing capacity and capabilities; implementing processes and procedures to better support college clients; coordinating with vendors regarding project milestones; coordinating projects involving the milestones needed by subject matter experts throughout the college; and providing suggestions for alternative solutions to drive effective efficiencies.
