Certification Testing Coordinator [ID: 928]
Position Summary:

Coordinates the operations and activities of industry certification and licensure test recruitment, enrollment, administration, and reporting. Reports to the Director of Workforce Services.

Typical Essential Duties

  • Plans, develops, implements and monitors goals, policies and procedures for all SPC certification and licensure testing;
  • Develop, implement and oversee test center operation in compliance with vendor policy and procedural requirements;
  • Serve as a communication liaison between deans, campus staff, technical experts (AIS), Helpdesk, and Oracle Campus Solutions functional team;
  • Develop and implement schedule of open test center hours of operation and appointments for students;
  • Develop, implement and oversee check-in and checkout and procedures for testing;
  • Coordinate record keeping, reporting, evaluation and financial matters of testing center;
  • Manage all aspects of communications to identify and communicate with students eligible to take certification exams;
  • Coordinate with grant managers and other funding providers to secure sufficient testing vouchers; assign vouchers and track accordingly;
  • Track, monitor, and prepare reports and records including discipline-specific test administration and pass rates;
  • Maintain or supervise the maintenance of participant database to track the progress of students;
  • Monitor and facilitate updates of certification lists maintained by the Florida Department of Education (CAPE post-secondary funding list, Technical Skills Attainment list).

The classification is responsible for coordinating the operations and activities of an assigned academic program or area and may supervise lower level administrative or program support staff.  This class is responsible for scheduling classes, trainings, or related events; coordinating the staff, and the use of resources for determined; coordinating internal and external relationships and partnerships; implementing project plans and providing project status updates and reviews; researching and analyzing information or other related data to improve the services or operations of the program; and may be responsible for monitoring a budget.

Compensation: $59,309.68 - $74,137.10

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking,grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and assists in the development, implementation, and supervision of testing goals, objectives, support services, training programs, assessments, activities, and/or other applicable initiatives; may participate in the development and presentation of programs and offerings;
  • Performs a variety of test administration duties, including scheduling and proctoring exams, responding to student inquiries, advising students on test results, and recommending test preparation activities;
  • Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, applications, contracts, agreements, test results, forms, records, assessments, business correspondence, and reports; makes test preparation recommendations based on findings;
  • Coordinates and processes all testing appointments and test center schedules;
  • Responds to requests for information from faculty, staff, students, outside agencies, and community regarding testing; researches and resolves issues, complaints, and/or other related problems.
