Marketing Support Specialist [ID: 936]
Position Summary:

The Marketing Support Specialist will support the backend of the SPC marketing digital storefront (SPC Marketplace) orders from various faculty, staff and departments at St. Petersburg College. This person will work closely with the Marketing Project Manager and Assistant Director of Creative and will offer internal training and support to Marketplace users, as well as process bulk mail and variable data jobs.

Essential Duties

  • Complete custom and variable jobs submitted through the Marketplace and using variable data software
  • Support and Training to internal Marketplace customers
  • Process mailing lists as per USPS direct mailing regulations.
  • Work on processing budget chargebacks to various departments from the Print Shop budget in coordination with the Accounting Department
  • Obtain quotes from various vendors on all items purchases to ensure lowest price
  • Receive and enter customer jobs, as necessary
  • Work with mailroom to ensure all steps required by Postal One are met
  • Ability to maintain harmonious relations and uphold a positive attitude in department and with others college wide.
  • Communicate effectively with the Marketing team, and production staff, informing and updating them regularly to ensure objectives are met
Compensation: $15.58 - $23.05

Requirements:

Education:

Associate's degree in related field.

Experience:

Two (2) years of related experience.

Knowledge:

•   English language, grammar, and punctuation

•   Recordkeeping principles

•   Printing and direct mailing concepts

•   Variable data for web and print

•   Computers and related software applications

•   Understanding of digital StoreFront

•   Adobe InDesign a plus

Skills:

•     Planning, time-management and follow-through skills

•     Understand print production requirements for print and variable data

•     Assisting SPC stakeholders with their projects via phone, email, or in person.

•     Ability to begin and complete projects

•     Proofreading skills

•     Maintaining operational records

•     Using a computer and related software applications

•     Ability to learn new software tools and integrate them into existing processes in accordance with business needs.

•     Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with subordinates, coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.

•     Self-motivated individual that is capable of finding and correcting problems as necessary

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Incumbents may be subjected to electrical currents, dusts, extreme temperatures, work space restrictions, intense noises and travel.
