CTE Articulations Outreach Specialist [ID: 967]
Position Summary:

This position is responsible for facilitating articulation of college credits from local high-schools and technical programs into Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

 
Typical Essential Duties
  • Reviews high school and technical college transcripts to determine eligibility for college credits to be awarded
  • Communicates with faculty, advisors, and records department staff to process student requests for credit.
  • Plans, organizes, implements, and coordinates major events and projects to raise awareness and usage of articulation agreements;
  • Oversees the development, printing, and distribution of printed and video marketing materials as well as website updates for CTE Programs and articulation agreements in collaboration with stakeholders;
  • Analyzes articulation data relating to CTE programs and prepares reports;
  • Maintains or supervises the maintenance of participants spreadsheets and database to track the progress of students;
  • Researches methods for continuous improvement;
  • Administers all aspects of the specific project;
  • Coordinates record keeping, reporting evaluation and financial matters of the project;
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for the project;
  • Partners with advisors and recruiters in the recruitment of students including outreach events for K12 and technical colleges;
  • Performs research and gathers technical data to improve the project.

This is the first of six levels in the Student Support Professional series.  The classification is responsible for providing complete organizational information and services to students and prospective students in single areas or across a number of disciplines that may include admissions, financial aid, academic advising, career services, international students, and disability services.   This level is differentiated from the previous level by the focus on providing professional-level career counseling and/or academic advisement and providing direct student assistance in career development activities; incumbents are responsible for coordinating internal and external partnerships to enhance services; making referrals for resources to assist in the students' career and educational success; and serving as a liaison between high schools, students, employers, and departments within the college.

Compensation: $44,319.64 - $55,399.55

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field to assigned area (preferred).

Experience:

Three (3) years experience in a related field. Community relations experience preferred.

* An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.

Physical:

  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
