Primarily responsible for managing payroll preparation, processing and distribution. Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.

Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or in a related field to assigned area. Experience in payroll accounting. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
Experience:
Three (3) years experience in payroll management and processing, accounting or auditing. Experience in higher education payroll accounting is preferred. Experience with PeopleSoft payroll system is preferred.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.

Compiles, organizes, and analyzes a variety of data; tracks payroll metrics; creates reports; and recommends changes to policies or procedures; maintains related records. |

Performs research and provides resolutions to payroll questions, issues and concerns for both internal and external customers. |

Monitors and tracks departmental budget; approves transfers, invoices, purchase orders, and ensures compliance with objectives and goals. |
