CHM 2211  Organic Chemistry II credits: 3

This is the second course of a two semester course sequence in organic chemistry. In this second semester material covered will include the spectroscopy of organic molecules, nomenclature, and the reactions and mechanisms associated with the use or synthesis of carboxylic acids and derivatives thereof, aromatic compounds and substituted derivatives, aldehydes, ketones, amines, alpha-carbon chemistry, and pericyclic reactions.

Prerequisite: CHM 2210 with a minimum grade of C and Pre or Corequisite: CHM 2211L with a minimum grade of C
