This course covers the knowledge and basic skills required to enter the field of medical office management. The course focuses on health care delivery in a medical office setting. Topics include an introduction to health care management information systems, an introduction to essential policies and regulations, and an introduction to evaluation of performance and process outcomes. (Note: By course completion, the student must submit proof of current CPR certification valid for 2 years that covers cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, including the use of AED, & infant/child CPR, from American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
