Rosanne Beck is a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College, earning an AA degree in Police Administration.  She has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a master's degree in Business Administration.  Ms. Beck has had a long career in law enforcement, retiring as a sergeant  from a mid size police department.  After she retired, she served as a reserve officer for six years.

Prior to joining the faculty department, Ms. Beck coordinated and marketed law enforcement training at St. Petersburg College, Southeastern Public Safety Institute.  As a coordinator, she developed on-line self-pace instructional courses for law enforcement.  In addition,  Ms. Beck coordinated  high liability courses, seminars and various continuing education courses.  She managed the state law enforcement trust fund and served as the fiscal agent for that fund.

In 2015, Ms. Beck was selected as an Honorary Member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.  In 2016-2018, Ms. Beck served as the faculty advisor for the Criminal Justice Honor Society, Alpha Phi Sigma.  Ms. Beck also served as a board member for the Pinellas County Urban League, Black on Black Crime Task Force.

Ms. Beck's teaching philosophy comes from her karate background.  She always admired the commitment and effort her karate teachers put into teaching students. They shared their knowledge of the discipline, the importance of moral and ethical conduct and the dedication that would be required of their students. Ms. Beck believes to be  successful in a discipline, you must be prepared to commit to doing the work required.  She is always willing to go the extra mile to help a student who is committed to achieving success.
