I have a strong background in the field of psychology as a Licensed Mental Health Professional and Psychotherapist . I have worked for various mental health agencies, sexual offender programs, community programs and prisons. Each of those included mixed populations of adolescents to adults. Some places were all males and some were specifically female.
I attended SPC for my AA, UCF for my BA, Argosy Univ. for my MA and finally Capella Univ. for my PhD in General Psychology.
As an instructor, I am committed to preparing students for their journey in education, equipping them with essential tools to succeed in their chosen career. So, how am I able to assist with their success and provide them with tools needed to compete in this world? To answer this question, I must be aware of possible obstacles and societal boundaries that may hinder academic growth. Next, I must create effective strategies and possible solutions to aid students in succeeding in this stage of academic development.
My ultimate goal is to help students become not only critical thinkers, but reflective practitioners, so that they will be able to clearly understand the interplay between theory and clinical practice.
