Hello! I have been teaching math at St. Petersburg College for over ten years. I am one of those instructors who loves their subject!  I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes and embrace the learning process. One reason to study math at the college level is that it can enhance your brain development especially in areas like logic, reasoning, problem solving and spatial relationships.

This spring I am teaching College Algebra on-campus, Applied Calculus online and on-campus, and Intermediate Algebra on-campus.

A little bit about me, I live in Pinellas County with my husband, two daughters and my cat, Seven (Just one cat named Seven - Not 7 cats!!). I like to hike, bike, backpack, garden - most outdoor activities. I read alot, mostly historical fiction books. I also like puzzles - crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, suduko, and of course, math problems. I like learning about how math is being used in medical breakthroughs and to increase our understanding of our universe.

I am a graduate of Florida State University (B.S. - Mathematics Summa Cum Laude) and University of Texas at Austin (M.A. - Mathematics).

In addition to teaching at SPC, I have taught at University of Texas at Austin, Boise State University, University of Idaho, and California State University - Channel Islands. I've also worked in the enironmental field and in market research. I have lived all over the U.S, and traveled in Western Europe.
