As an educator, my philosophy of higher education is to act as a facilitator, providing personally relevant, meaningful and engaging academic experiences to help students meet their educational and career goals. It is my responsibility to provide a positive and safe learning environment that promotes the critical thinking process through varied learning styles and strategies to meet diverse and individual student needs. Throughout this process, the importance of self-accountability for student learning is fostered. True success comes from a genuine and collaborative effort between community, administration, faculty, staff, students and support services.
