I am an SPC Nursing alumni, receiveing both my ADN and BSN from St. Petersburg College of Nursing. My graduate degree is in Leadership and Management from University of Central Florida.

I started my nursing career as an LPN in long-term care working in geriatrics. I moved on to supervise a 54-bed memory care unit for Alzheimer's/Dementia patients. In acute care, I worked as a charge nurse on a surgical/telemetry (post-op) unit at Largo Medical Center specializing in General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. I started my career at the VA on the Inpatient General Surgery unit specializing in thoracic, vascular, orthopedics, general surgery, bariatrics, plastics, urology, GYN, and ENT. I am Board Certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Currently, I am Nurse Manager for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the C.W. Bill Young (Bay Pines) VA Medical Center.
