I am a 2014 alumna of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where I earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. My translational project was focused on professional quality of life in newly licensed pediatric oncology nurses. A Post-Masters Certificate as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PPCNP) from Union University in Jackson, TN and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis, TN. I earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Shelby State Community College (currently Southwest Tennessee Community College).
I joined the SPC College of Nursing in August 2025. Prior to joining SPC,I served as an Assistant Professor at Missouri State University and worked in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Affiliate Clinic in Springfield, MO. Prior to moving to Missouri, I worked as a PPCNP at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center in Memphis, TN and was the DNP PPCNP program coordinator at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, TN.
My clinical area of expertise is Pediatric Hematology/Oncology where I practiced at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a PPCNP and a registered nurse for more than 30 years.
I am thrilled to be in Florida and am looking forward to milder winters and teaching at SPC!
