Welcome to my St. Petersburg College website. Please note that my office location is LY 103.
At the outset, I thank you for visiting the website and take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Lakshminarayan Rajaram.
As of today, January 1, 2024, I started my 25th year of teaching at the St. Petersburg College, Tarpon Springs Campus.
EDUCATION AND PAST POSITIONS:
My graduate education is in theoretical and applied mathematics as well as applied statistics. My Ph.D. degree is in mathematics with concentration being applied statistics. I truly enjoy teaching, and hope to continue teaching for many years to come.
I held the following positions in the pharma industry and the universities where I extensively applied the principles and techniques of clinical statistics to model and analyze the data from the biomedical research and epidemiological studies:
EXPERIENCE
My experience includes teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics and mathematics, mathematical modeling, pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence, and statistical evaluation of the clinical data from multi-center clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
STATISTICAL ADVISORY MEMBER OF PHD COMMITTEES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA
I served (2009 - 2019) as a statistical advisory member of the Ph.D. committee in the Departments of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Global Health, and Civil & Environmental Engineering.
INTERNATIONAL TEACHING
During my time off from St. Petersburg College, I travel abroad and present workshops, presentions and lectures in conferences as well as short courses in such diverse areas as:

As a clinical biostatistician, I have been doing collaborative research/consulting with scientific researchers, physicians and doctoral students in engineering and public health, leading to publications in the following journals of:
