Hi Everyone, I am Kelly. I was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Cleveland, Ohio when I was two. My family lived there for 11 years. I loved the seasons, especially when it was cold or wet. Unfortunately, my mother loved the sun, so we moved to Phoenix when I was 13. I still long to live somewhere with seasons and green grass. My husband and I now live in Wickenburg, Arizona, a small town of about 5000 people. It is a little bit cooler than Phoenix, but not much. We have lived here for about 13 years. I plan to move to Tennessee when I retire so we can fish and hunt on our own property.

I recently retired from Maricopa County Adult Probation as a supervisor of Intensive Probation after 23 years. I previously worked for Phoenix Police for 7 years. I am excited about a partial retirement so I can travel more. I will, however, miss teaching firearms to new officers. Just a few months ago, my husband and I along with our son and his wife began a business together called One Blow K.O. It is very interesting interacting with Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) individuals and learning their perspectives on self-defense. In fact, we just came back from Las Vegas for the MMA Fan Expo in May. We were able to meet many of the fighters and promote the company.

As far as education, I received my Doctorate of Management from UoP (Online) in December 2005. I have an AAS, BS, and MS in Criminal Justice, a AAS in Computer Science, and a M Ed in Educational Leadership. I have always liked school and thought I would embark on teaching so I would not have to pay tuition to attend class.

For fun, I like to spend time with family members and friends. My husband and I also enjoy camping, fishing, and riding our quads around the state. This summer, we went to Washington where we attended my husband's ship reunion. You know you are getting older when the ship you placed in commission is a floating museum. We then spent six months touring the nation in our fifth wheel. I sure am enjoying this partial retirement.
