• PhD in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Barry University. My dissertation topic: "Exploring the Perceptions of Novice Dental Hygiene Faculty Toward Mentoring Within Academic Settings." 
• Masters of Public Health Education, University of South Florida including graduate hours at the University of Florida. 

Began at SPC in 1995 as an adjunct and 1998 as a full-time instructor.

Hobbies: Outside the classroom my interests include spending time with family which includes our triplet grandchildren.  I also find time for friends, flower gardening, cooking, and traveling. In November 2023, I spent time in Dublin and Northern Ireland.This past summer my husband and I spent 3 weeks in the UK traveling to Wales, Cornwall, and London. 
 

My teaching philosophy: I believe that education must be meaningful and relevant in order to for students to be successful. We should all strive to do our best and have fun at the same time!
