Beyond teaching the fundamental concepts of a course, I aim to provide an environment that provokes curiosity by linking key concepts to real life scenarios and experiences. My goal will be to support the development of critical thinking skills to become a highly effective health care professional that not only supports student professional development, but also the health care environment in which we live in.

Through my experiences in the health care profession field, I've learned that how one health care professional may respond in any given situation may vastly differ from another. Collaboration is crucial in the learning environment as it helps everyone adapt to how others may apply concepts and how we can support one another. I aim to create an environment conductive to learning and to support the acquisition of knowledge. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in a variety of health care organizations including a health plan, hospital, and a non-profit state association. I am honored to share my experiences in each of these organizations with students to support them in applying the concepts of the course.
