Professional Experience:
I have worked in the Health Information Management field for the past 14 years. I have held roles as Facility HIM Director/Privacy Officer, HIM Coding Leader, EHR Client-Implementation Analyst, EMR Business Systems Analyst, and Medical Records Facility Liaison. Currently, I am a System Manager, Ambulatory Health Information Management at SCL Health System in Denver, CO. I oversee a remote team of 10 that analyze and manage the document management processes for the ambulatory HIM divison for 200+ clinics. 

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching online for the past 12 years and enjoy educating students in the field of Health Information Management/Technology. This field is very broad and I enjoy every aspect it has to offer. I teach a wide range of courses from CPT/ICD-10 Coding, Medical Terminology, Introduction to Health Information Technology, Health Services & Information Systems, Health Information Processes, Medical Records Law, Health Care Administration, Introduction to Billing, EHR Systems, along with many others focused around HIT/HIM.

Personal Bio:
I am currently working out of my home during the day. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working-out, traveling around the world, playing basketball, racquetball, and bowling. I recenlty relocated back to Houston, TX from Washington, DC.
