I received a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2008 and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2006 from the University of Central Florida. My clinical experience and interests are in Geriatric Psychology, Neuropsychology, Health Psychology, and Rehabilitation Psychology.   I have experience working with individuals who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or CVAs (strokes) as well as multiple other cognitive and psychological deficits.

My research interests have focused on norming and increasing the utility of a popular neuropsychological screening tool, resulting in two publications in the Applied Neuropsychology. I have also been involved in collaborative research with psychology faculty at the University of Ulster and North West Regional College in Northern Ireland, to examine the cross cultural comparison of stressors between Irish and American college students, culminating in publication in the British Journal of Guidance and Counselling. My current research interests involve working with students on Undergraduate Research Experiences (URE's).

I believe global engagement is important to individual and professional development. In addition to my research work with Northern Ireland, I have participated in a two-week faculty exchange with the University of Ulster and conduct COIL projects with faculty at Northwest Regional College. I co-lead interdisciplinary study abroad programs to various Latin American countries, including Ecuador and Belize/Guatemala.  Please view the Study Abroad website to see what is currently being offered: https://blog.spcollege.edu/international. Finally, I have participated in a CIEE – International Faculty Development Seminar in Cuba.

As far my teaching style, I like to incorporate interactive and application exercises in my teaching.  My courses contain weekly assignments that allow you to explore and work with the course material.  Many of these exercises help you apply the course material to your own life.
