Biographical Sketch - John V. Hargiss

Hello! My name is John Hargiss and I am your instructor for this course. I currently teach a variety of business courses online for several institutions and have enjoyed the experience.

The bulk of my professional career consists of over 30 years of international senior management and public company experience, primarily within the medical technology and health services sector. I served for nine years as President and CEO of a small, publicly traded biomedical concern with operations in the U.S., U.K., and Germany. I also consult to varying size companies and venture capital groups on a wide range of matters such as mergers and acquisitions, business process reengineering, business plan development / assessment, financing, etc. I currently serve as director and senior advisor to a growing medical practice management software enterprise.

I have an M.B.A. from the University of Miami (FL) with a concentration in International Business, a B.S. degree from the University of North Texas and have completed residence post‑graduate studies at Harvard Business School.
