Hello.  It is nice to meet you.  I am an adjunct professor at St. Petersburg College and specialize in online teaching in the Baccalaureate Dental Hygiene program.  I received my dental hygiene education at Palm Beach Community College, and later earned my B.S. and M.S. graduate degrees in Health Services at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.  I love the technology of online teaching!  Web learning is unique and I hope you find it as rewarding and enriching as I do.

Early in my career I worked in private practice for 10 years as a dental hygienist in North Carolina, Florida and Mississippi.  I moved into the field of education after earning a masters degree and taught seven years full-time at the Univiersity of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi and twenty years at Florida State College at Jacksonville(FSCJ).  During part of that time at FSCJ, I was program manager of the Dental Programs which broadened my experience in management and academics.  I hold a certificate as Online Professor and now specialize in internet courses at St. Petersburg College.   I am very much involved in my professional association (American Dental Hygiene Association) and have held office at the local, state and national levels.

On the personal side I have two daughters and two stepdaughters who are grown and on their own.  My husband is a retired Engineer from Kings Bay Navy Base in St. Mary's, GA.   We take tours on our motorcycle for weekend adventures and have lots of fun outdoors, camping and riding.  It is amazing to see things from the motorcycle that you cannot see through the inside of an automobile window.
