Since 2002, Krista Mallo has been on-staff at St. Petersburg College (SPC) as an Adjunct Instructor of Communications. At SPC, she teaches Freshman Composition courses and has previously taught developmental writing courses. In addition to her experience teaching in post-secondary institutions, Mallo has more than five years of teaching experience at the secondary level. She is certified as a Professional Educator by the Florida Department of Education in the areas of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), kindergarten through grade twelve, and English Language Arts, grades six through twelve. Mallo is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, and she has previously published work in the Florida English Journal, a publication of the Florida Council of Teachers of English, and St. Petersburg College’s META: An Interdisciplinary Journal.
