Ellen Poole is an attorney and is General Counsel at Piper Fire Protection, Inc. As general counsel, she oversees daily issues ranging from contractual disputes to employment matters. In addition, she engages in strategic meetings, and provides wide-ranging counsel with an emphasis on creative solutions for this life safety company. She has always taken a non-traditional track, starting as a paralegal at Ker’s WingHouse to test her interest in the idea of going to law school. Then attending Stetson Law as a non-traditional student, while working in the legal department for Checkers Drive-In Restaurants. After joining the bar, she became the first general counsel for Piper Fire, which is also a first for a company of its size in the industry. Her non-traditional track record has led to recognition by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as a Top Corporate Counsel Up and Comer finalist in 2017. On a personal note, she enjoys feeding a crowd and seeking out the sun with her hubby and two little girls.
