In 2000, I received a general AA degree and in 2009 I completed the BSN program online. In 2011, I graduated from the University of South Florida with my Master's degree in Nursing Education. In addition to courses in Nursing Education, my studies at USF included courses in pediatric and adult advanced assessment. I successfully defended my dissertation in July of 2019. My research study focused on transition to practice for novice nurses.  I have a PhD in nursing education and a post Master's certificate in online teaching from Walden University. I also hold a post Master's Certificate from Pudue as a Board Certified Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Family Practice.

I worked at All Children’s Hospital for over 15 years caring for adult and pediatric patients.  My pediatric experience includes; Medical Intensive Care, Bone Marrow Transplant, Telephone Triage, and Pediatric Dialysis.
