William Scales originally from Chicago brings a host of experience to the classroom.  Prior to entering the field of teaching, William served as Vice President of a Chicago Based Information Services Company and an independent contract realtor for RE/Max Accord.  Relocating over 20 years ago, William entered the field of education as a Business Technology Instructor at the High School level.  He has been nominated as an “Outstanding Educator” by Pinellas County Schools (2012, 2017 & 2020) and recognized by the Seminole Area Greater Chamber of Commerce at the 2012, 2017 & 2020 “Tribute to Teachers”.  He has acted as Department Chair for Business Technology and Director of the Academy of E-Commerce at Seminole High School. Currently, William acts as the instructor and lead for the Accounting Operations program at Pinellas Technical College.


William has been an adjunct instructor with St. Petersburg College for over 10 years.  William has taught a variety of courses with the College of Education including EME 2040, EDF1005, EDF3214, EDF3660, EDF 4754 and more.  He considers himself a life-long learner always open to new ideas, approaches and strategies to improve his role in the classroom.  With a "student centered" focus, he approaches education as the key to an individuals success.
